SPONSORS

The Montrose Blueberry Festival would not be possible without the support of our local community and corporate sponsors. We would like to thank the following businesses and individuals for their generosity and continued support.

Montrose Community Schools

Since 1972 the Montrose Community School district has been one of the largest contributors to the festival by providing the use of school buildings and grounds.  Throughout the years, administrators, teachers and auxiliary personnel have worked tirelessly alongside festival committee members providing a network of support.  The Montrose Blueberry Festival continues to grow, always with the helping hands of many good people.

Country Fresh Dairy
A long-time supporter of the Montrose Blueberry Festival, Country Fresh Dairy supplies at reduced cost, all the milk, orange juice, coffee creamer and butter used during the Saturday and Sunday pancake breakfasts. This generous contribution from Country Fresh is a huge savings for the wildly popular all-you-can-eat feast.

Riverside Market
Located in Montrose, Riverside Market plays an integral part in the fabric of the Montrose Blueberry Festival. Riverside provides at low cost, food and supplies used for many of the festival events. The bakery department at Riverside Market bakes and packages an astronomical 600 blueberry pies for festival use, and provides all the baked goods you find at the festival Blueberry Store. Riverside also sponsors the fantastic “Frankentrost Band” you see in Saturday’s parade.

Lynn & Shirley Pollard

Huge supporters of the Blueberry Festival, Lynn and Shirley generously allow the use of their McKinley road property for the Saturday afternoon Mud Drag and Mud Bog and Sunday's Demolition Derby.  Now in its' 15th year, the mud drag has become one of the highest-grossing events each year.

Jennings Memorial Library

Located near the Montrose Schools, Jennings Memorial Library has long been the home of the monthly Blueberry Festival meetings.  From January through November the library graciously opens its' doors to the festival committee members who work year-round  planning the August event.

Brent Run Landfill/Republic Services, Inc.
Formerly Pollards Disposal, Brent Run supplies roll-off containers and disposal services for the Blueberry Festival. With their efficient service, festival grounds remain sanitary enabling festival visitors more enjoyment of Montrose scenery.

5-Mile Run/Walk Sponsors

Additional thanks go out to the following businesses who have become "official" 5-Mile Run/Walk sponsors.  Many thanks to them in helping us bring this event back under the festival umbrella.

Wade-Trim

A Flint area design and environmental firm located at 601 N. Saginaw Street, Wade-Trim has sponsored the annual Blueberry Festival 5-mile run/walk for nearly twenty years.  Wade-Trim's continuous support has allowed race coordinators to keep entry fees low for this significant event set one week prior to Flint's Bobby Crim Festival of Races.  Visit Wade-Trim at www.wadetrim.com.

Runner's World

Geared to the running community, Runner's World online magazine addresses issues and informs the public.  Find articles about events around the world or those right in your own back yard.  Runner's world addresses health concerns for the serious, and not so serious, fitness-minded people.  Visit www.runnersworld.com    for all the latest updates in the running world.

Road ID

Every year thousands of people are taken to hospitals unconcious and without identification.  Don't be one of them.  Road ID can be your security blanket-not only does it provide security and peace of mind, it can prevent serious delay in medical treatment.  ID comes in four styles: wrist or ankle bands; shoe ID; or "dog tags" worn on a chain.  Road ID is located at 6150 W. Hill Road in Flint, MI.  Read more at www.roadid.com.

Gill-Roys Hardware

The local Gill-Roys at 10212 W. Vienna Road in Montrose has been a sponsor for several years. They have donated hundreds of dollars of merchandise thus enabling road-race organizers to make the race possible.

Fazoli's

A relatively new sponsor, Fazoli's has been with us for two years.  They were the sponsors of our first pre-race pasta dinner and continue to support us with gift certificates.  For a delicious Italian dinner please visit them at 5100 Corunna Road in Flint, MI.

Donlan Fish & Seafood

Donlan's provided us with a gift certificate for our 2008 Frozen Blueberry Race & Walk.  We appreciate their support and hope to see their sponsorship continue.  You'll find them located at 3116 Corunna Road in Flint, MI.

Bauman's Running & Walking Store

Located at 1473 W. Hill Road in Flint, MI.  Bauman's previously produced the Blueberry 5 Mile Walk & Run for many years and turned it back into festival hands three years ago.  They continue to be a sponsor and supporter and we appreciate their many roles.

Riverside Market

Located in Montrose at 10236 Vienna Road, Riverside Market is an important part of the Blueberry Festival and is our provider of all the fresh fruits and water on race day.  We couldn't ask for a better partner.
